    PayPal

    13th March 2006

    Oopsie.

Paypal closed my primary paypal-account. I haven’t really read the user-agreement, and a couple of months ago, when I couldn’t remember my password, I opened a new account. And that’s happened more than once. So they closed my primary account. That’s really freaky. It’s not something I can appeal either, by the look of things. Guess I’ll have to scout around and close the accounts they haven’t yet had the courtesy of closing for me and hope and praise they restore access for me so I can get back to business :)

OR JUST OPEN A NEW ACCOUNT! :D

    Yeah, so much fun.. not

    25th January 2006

Here I was, thinking I was going to make you a special offer today, only to find out PayPal is having difficulties right now so I can’t test my offer-page fully. Yay. That really DOES NOT rock.

I’ll just have to calm down a bit, and finish it off once PayPal calms down and gets real again :)

Hope you’re all having a nice day though :)

    Yeah, moving forward

    21st January 2006

Some of the old sites are online now, everything seems to be working fine, although I’m gonna have to re-write some of the code since the new host has “allow_url_fopen” set to off. That’s what cURL’s for I guess :D

I’m gonna re-design the old freeinfo-site as well, it looks like total shite in it’s present form. And that’s an understatement if ever there was one :)

FXP-ing between the old and the new host didn’t work very well, so I had to download all the old files to my HD and am uploading it to this host as we speak. What a drag. Why can’t FXP-ing work with EVERY host?

My new script, myAffiliateLinks, is ready. But it’s hosted on the other server, and the sales-page isn’t finished yet. It allows cloaked re-directs, cloaked re-directs with exit-pages, regular re-directs, and re-directs with exit-pages. It uses the path to extract the link, and you can call it through .htaccess so your re-directs will look like regular .html-pages on your server. I’m probably gonna do a discounted pre-launch-drive to get it out there when the sales-page is finished, but setting up in this new server has taken time from that project. I’ll post here when it’s finished :)

I’ve also started re-writing parts of my old free script, myDownloads, and I’m gonna release two different version of it. myDownloadsFree, and myDownloadsPremium. The Premium-version will allow limiting access to files by date/time, number of downloads or both, it will also make use of one-time-URL’s for downloads. The premium version will not be free of charge, but it will be reasonably priced :)

    That’s all for now.

    Finally

    20th January 2006

I finally got the new domains up and running with a new host. They had an offer i couldn’t refuse, and i got $50 off the first year. Awesome.

20gb space, unlimited domains and 1tb traffic. I like it :D

Now I just have to move over the info-sites from my old domain, and redirect the traffic from there, to here… Oh the pain… :D
