Prevent multiple clicks on your adsense ads

27th April 2006

If you’re getting way too high CTR on your adsense ads, it might be someone trying to get you banned from adsense. In order to prevent this, you need to dis-allow people from clicking your ads more than once in a set timeframe.

I’m in the process of writing a script that will do just this, prevent multiple clicks within a set timeframe.

Stay tuned for more information.

Some news from little ol’ me.

8th April 2006

I’ve been quiet for a while now, haven’t posted on the blog, and haven’t put up the page for mAL and haven’t made the changes for myDownloads… That sucks.

Truth is, I’m tied up at other projects right now, and they have to come first. What little free time I have, I like to spend with my daughter. She’s only 5 months old, but like any parent can tell you, the first year is the most exciting year :)

I’m working on a fun project with my newly found, very good friend Jeff Stewart right now. It’s fun because it involves stuff I’ve never worked on before and never bothered checking out. So while I’m doing stuff I know, I also get to learn a bit. That’s rewarding. Can’t say much about it at the moment, but it will be a great product once it’s ready.

After that one’s out, we have a couple of other goodies planned, so there’s not much rest for me, but one of them actually involves mAL :) That’s why I’m putting the release of it on hold for a while. I do have one goodie on it’s way though, once again for users of The Article System. Nothing much, really, but a way of putting really unique content on your index-page. No, not rss-feeds. Your own content. A simple news-script. I bet you haven’t thought of using that, have you? Silly you, that’s the single easiest way of making your index-page look fresh and great every time the spiders come for a sniff.

Ok, back to jEdit and coding,

l8er.
